This website is owned and operated by QuayStones. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors individually handcrafted and bespoke jewellery manufactured by QuayStones . By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
QuayStones is the trading name of Vanessa Boddice. The company address is Collingwood House, 5 Quay Walls, Berwick Upon Tweed, Northumberland TD15 1HB, United Kingdom .
QuayStones jewellery is individually handcrafted. We reserve the right to make without notice any minor modifications we think necessary in the specifications of the designs, i.e: colours, gemstones, findings or materials due to availability or to comply with a change in legal requirements to do with product safety. Please note that as these are handcrafted items, some using found materials, not every item will be identical or be an exact replica of product images on the website. Sizes and weights listed in product descriptions are an average value and therefore described as approximated. Whilst we hold some lines in stock customers may request items that are listed as out of stock. We will notify customers by email when they are again available to buy.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms and conditions for the supply of goods through the QuayStones (Quaystones Jewellery) online store (quaystones.co.uk). These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts entered into by QuayStones. “We”, “our”, or “us" means the seller Vanessa Priest trading as QuayStones, “you” is the buyer and the "item", "items" or “goods” are any products (physical or digital) ordered by the buyer and sold by the seller to the buyer.
By placing your order with us you are accepting these Terms and Conditions. Where you do not accept these Terms and Conditions in full, you do not have permission to access the contents of this website and should cease using it immediately.
By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms & Conditions”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services.
Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. It's important to note that third-party services, such as Google Analytics or other applications offered through the Wix App Market, placing cookies or utilizing other tracking technologies through Wix´s services, may have their own policies regarding how they collect and store information. As these are external services, such practices are not covered by QuayStones Privacy Policy.
SITE ACCESS AND CHANGES
Our website changes regularly and access to this site is permitted on a temporary basis. We aim to update our site regularly, and may change the content at any time, including the product details and pricing without notice. If the need arises, we may suspend access to our site, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your Internet connection are aware of these terms, and that they comply with them.
CONTRACT
No contract will exist between you and QuayStones for the sale of any product unless and until QuayStones has accepted your order with a confirmation email and/or a full payment is taken from your bank account, credit/debit card or through a payment platform . Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us. Only adults (persons aged 18 and over) are entitled to enter into legally binding contracts.
QuayStones reserves the right not to accept your order in the event that we are unable to obtain authorisation for payment, if shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, if the item ordered does not meet our quality control standards and is withdrawn, out of stock or if there is an error in pricing or content. We may also refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses arising from not accepting your order and we shall have no liability to you, by way of compensation, other than to refund the amount paid for the goods in question.
PAYMENT
By purchasing on this site you confirm that the payment platform account or credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the account or credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. Payment can be made by a direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com, Bank Transfer (for invoiced goods) or via your credit/debit card.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
For bespoke items our quotations lapse after 30 days. Customers wanting a bespoke item will be required to pay a deposit of 20% of the quoted price before work commences to cover material costs. This deposit is non-fundable. For bespoke items, unless otherwise stated, the price quoted is an illustrated estimate only. At any time before delivery we may adjust the price to reflect any increase in our costs of supplying the goods. This may include additional costs due to metal price fluctuations, alterations you have requested or which are necessary because we received inadequate or late instructions from you. Payment for bespoke items is required in full before goods are despatched.
The prices payable for ordered goods are as set out in our website in GBP (UK Pounds). All prices are inclusive of the UK VAT. The price quoted excludes delivery. Delivery charges will be clearly displayed at checkout and free delivery is only offered within the UK.
ORDER CANCELLATION
Should you wish to cancel your order please email your request to quaystonesberwick@icloud.com within 24hrs of receipt of the order confirmation email. As long as the item is part of our standard range, is not bespoke or you have not been notified that your order has already been despatched the order may be cancelled. It is not possible to cancel orders after 24hrs as we will already have started to craft your item.
For Bespoke orders, these may be cancelled up to 3 working days from placing the order or until a deposit has been paid. Deposits are non-refundable as we will have bought materials and commenced making your item.
Unless you cancel your order the contract between you and Quaystones will be completed when the goods have been dispatched.
To cancel your contract you must notify us of your decision by email here using the subject heading ‘Cancellation’ and supplying your order number and address. Any returns after the above stated periods will be at the discretion of QuayStones.
DEFECTIVE AND DAMAGED ITEMS
All parcels should immediately be opened in the presence of the Courier upon receipt of the goods, to verify that the goods are contained in the parcel are untampered with and undamaged. Where this is not possible a photograph of the goods in location where the parcel was left and the outer packaging should be emailed to us. You acknowledge that if you fail to do this and subsequently find the goods are not contained therein, or have been damaged during delivery, we may not be able to claim against the Courier or against our insurers. Accordingly, if you do fail to do this, you agree that you will be solely liable for any such loss or damage and shall waive, release and indemnify us from and against any claims relating thereto, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
If you should receive an item that is defective, damaged or not what you ordered, please contact us here within 14 working days. We will help you resolve any issues as quickly as possible by replacing the item, once the faulty item has been returned to us by post. We will confirm the return address in writing, once you have contacted us about the fault.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your order we operate a 14 day returns policy, effective from the date the parcel was delivered. Under this policy you may return any product, with the exception of bespoke items, that you are not completely satisfied with providing it has not been worn and remains in its original packaging. Please note that we are not responsible for return postage. Faulty products are not subject to this condition, they will be repaired/replaced within 60 days of receipt, as long as there is no evidence of neglect of reasonable care (see Product Care). QuayStones will not accept any responsibility or liability for any transit damage that may occur on any product that you have returned to us whether for replacement or return. We strongly suggest that you make sure that you use sufficient packaging to protect your returns and insure against damage before returning any product.
Each piece of bespoke jewellery is made to order, therefore we cannot offer a refund on a piece unless it is found to be faulty. In certain circumstances we may be able to offer an exchange for another piece.
All rings are made to order and are sized on this website using the UK ring measurement system. Please use the UK size measurement when placing your order. If you are unsure of your size check your ring size at a local jewellery shop or use the contact us form with your name and postal address to request that a ring size gauge be posted to you. If you receive your ring and it does not fit you, there will be a charge of £25 (but may be more depending on the design) to have your ring resized.
Upon receipt of items, the payment platform, credit or debit card originally used for the purchase will be credited with the cost of the goods minus the delivery charges (exceptions may apply). We will process your refund within 48 hours of receipt. Your credit card company may take 4-7 working days to credit your account.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The entire content of this website, including all jewellery designs, photographs, logo, copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights it contains, including the use of the name “QuayStones" or “QuayStones Jewellery” is the sole property of QuayStones. You may store, print and display the content supplied solely for your own personal use and you may draw the attention of others to material posted on our site. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied to you or which appears on this website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise. By using this service, you agree that you will not attempt to undermine the integrity of this website.
CHANGES TO TERMS & CONDITIONS

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. AGREEMENT
These terms and conditions set out the entire agreement between you and QuayStones Jewellery in respect of the sale, purchase and use of the goods. They supersede any previous agreement or understanding in relation to the subject matter hereof. No variation of these terms and conditions are binding on us unless agreed by us in writing.
