Most days we can be found walking, with the dog, along the beach. Often photographing or collecting seashells, fossils, stones, glass or seaweed. Basically anything that catches our eye to help the design process, i.e, the tiny oyster and scallop shells we found on Lindisfarne beach. This is particularly poignant as the scallop shell is an ancient symbol of pilgrimage and the other name for Lindsifarne is Holy Island.

 

NEW: We have teamed pearls with the oyster shells which when cast look like reticulated metal. We try to use naturally coloured pearls and have them available in white, ivory, pink/purple, gold/orange, grey and peacock shades. Please state when ordering your preferred colour choice. All our shell jewellery is grouped under the name Beach Collection.

 

That same beach we walk along has amazing layered rock formations, and was the inspiration for the Strata collection, those same rocks also contain fossils and rock pools where we look for sea creatures at low tide.

 

The Plankton earring collection evolved from a doodle in metal whilst thinking about the sea and its tiny creatures. The granulations on the outer rim are to represent the tendrils seen on zooplankton, the creatures photographed in the depths of the sea.
